Century Link improper billing and poor customer service bills


I opened my Century Link account in July. Twice my account was hacked and my long distance provider was changed. I spoke with customer service and said I did not need long distance and if I could have a different package. The customer service rep offered me a different package and because I was new would be willing to do it at no cost and no penalty. My next bill came and it was over $800 because I was charged for cancelling my service. I called customer service they agreed to credit my account. I paid $117. My regular bill would have been less if this never happened. A few weeks later I got a disconnect notice. I called customer service again and they said the previous person did it wrong and would credit me $700 but I would have to pay $53. I couple of weeks later I get another bill for $669. I get the same answer. The previous person did it wrong. I spoke with an Alex who said he would try to figure out was was wrong and call me back. He never called me back. I tried to call him but was told there was no Alex and they have no way tracking who I spoke with. The person said they could credit my account $600 but would have to pay an amount of $128. They have added late fees and I also noticed on my bill that I am still paying for long distance. I filed a complaint with the BBB a couple of weeks ago but have not received a reply from Century Link. I am often hung up on or transferred several times. They keep staying the the previous person did it wrong.
